* this is not a real poll. It's just an online poll.
Let's see what the current tally is on Pollster for Iowa:
Hillary Clinton
60.2%
Elizabeth Warren 17.4%
Bernie Sanders
14.0%
Joe Biden 6.5%
Martin O'Malley 1.1%
Sanders is rocketing up in IOWA! :) From the low single digets to right behind Warren.
Since Warren isn't running... you can safely add her numbers to Sanders which brings it to:
Hillary Clinton 60.2%
Bernie Sanders 31.4%
We might have a race on our hands for Iowa soon. The last poll was a PPP poll done 4/23 to 4/26 which was before he announced.
According to this article at the Washington Times... people in Iowa seem very excited about Bernie:
“You betcha,” said Mr. Berge. “Everybody is just smiling from ear to ear about Bernie Sanders [running]. The only way they could smile more would be if it was Elizabeth Warren who got in there.”

However according to
PPP... Walker leads all other Dems except for Clinton:
There is a large gap between how Clinton performs and the rest of the Democratic field does in potential general election match ups. Scott Walker leads all of the other hypothetical candidates by margins ranging from 5 to 10 points. It's 39/34 over Sanders, 38/32 over O'Malley, 39/32 over Webb, and 39/29 over Chafee. Those leads are in large part a function of the low name recognition of the other Democratic hopefuls- each of them gets only between 54 and 64% of their own party's vote against the various Republicans with almost twice as many Democrats as Republicans being undecided in each of those contests.
When more people start to meet Bernie... those numbers should change.
And Bernie's the clear #2 according to their AZ poll:
I still really do think that now that he's officially announced and it get closer to Iowa caucuses... Bernie's numbers will rise.
I really do think he has a chance to win Iowa. Now it's up to all of us.
11:37 AM PT: I hope everyone realizes I was being silly with the staggering 829 votes . :)
But my support for Bernie is 100% pure. I compiled a list of polling that I could find. I know the first one is a silly online poll - but Bernie does seem to have some serious movement in Iowa.
11:48 AM PT: Wait my silly post I did for fun while taking a break from a job I'm doing pops up onto the Rec list?
Everyone on DK must be as hungry for new Bernie polling as I am.
:)
Seriously though, I think Bernie is going to surprise the pundits soon.
11:50 AM PT: And like that I get an e-mail from the man himself with a new video they just released:
5:32 PM PT: DNC just announced that there will be six debates!
The Democratic National Committee announced Tuesday that it will sanction six debates between candidates seeking the nomination. DNC Chair Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz says the debates will begin this fall, as part of an effort to “give Democratic voters multiple opportunities to size up the candidates for the nomination side-by-side.”
